Seasonal Florals: What's in Bloom When You're Getting Married
The single fastest way to lower your floral budget without lowering the impact is to lean into what's actually growing the month of your wedding.
Spring (March–May): Ranunculus, anemones, sweet peas, peonies (late May), tulips. Soft, fluttery, romantic.
Summer (June–August): Garden roses, dahlias, hydrangea, lisianthus, zinnias. Lush, abundant, painterly.
Fall (September–November): Chrysanthemums, dahlias still going, amaranthus, dried grasses, cafe au lait dahlias. Moody, textured, gorgeous.
Winter (December–February): Amaryllis, hellebores, evergreens, ranunculus (greenhouse). Sculptural and quiet.
Imported flowers will always be available, but you'll pay a 30–50% premium and they won't look as good. Trust your florist when they say 'in season.'
