Isabella's family has been in Savannah for six generations. Ethan moved south for her, and proposed under the same oak tree where her great-grandparents were married in 1922. The wedding had to honor that.
We held the ceremony on the lawn beneath century-old oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Florals nodded to the South — magnolias, garden roses, jasmine, and tobacco leaves in copper urns.
A New Orleans brass band led the second-line from ceremony to reception. Three hours later, half the band joined the dance floor. The other half kept playing.
